Here’s a sample of some of the mugs and molls you’ll run into at Violet Crown Radio Theater. This is our 2006 troupe!

Monica Ballard is VCRP's resident fashion reporter, director, writer, and utility infielder. She's hard at work putting together VCRP's destined-to-be-classic signature Christmas show, Moneygo On 34th Street. (SEE ALSO: Donovan, Nicky; Kyle, Phyllis)
Cathy Day is active in the local theatre scene, regularly acting in productions with the Paradox Players, VCRP, and others. She regularly appears with the Players as Charlotte Scott in The Blue Menace Mysteries. She enjoys working with her husband, Mark Finn, some sort of VCRP muckety-muck, if she can ever get a word in edgewise. Cathy is a founding member of the VCRP troupe. (SEE ALSO: Day, Catherine)
Phoebe Greene is an actress, a sound effects maestro, and an audio engineering ninja. She's died at the, um, beaks of birds, in several VCRP performances, but doesn't take any guff from anybody, Sport, so don't try anything funny.
Chris Heidel is the troupe's official Girl Friday, and recently popped up in an episode of Molly McCoy: Air Ace. She's been here since the beginning working behind the scenes to make sure T.E. shows up where he is supposed to be, that people can find him (a GPS tracking device has been installed), and that someone is watching darling Maya so her Papa can do his thing. In addition, she works the ticket booth, edits, takes minutes, and runs errands as needed, you know, details. In her "free" time, she LOVES to dance and party, so--watch out! (SEE ALSO: Heidel, Chris)
Ryan Hill has been performing in musical theater productions since middle school. He has also performed as a vocalist, songwriter and guitar player, both solo, and with the bands Famous Embrace and King Dipu & the Polynesian Playboys. A natural mimic, Ryan has been performing in both dramatic and comedic roles for the VCRP since he joined in 2003. By day he pecks away at a computer screen, yearning for release. LET MY PEOPLE GO! Ahem, sorry. We got carried away there for a minute. Anyway, in his spare time he reads voraciously, competes in adventure races and hangs out with his 13-year-old son. (SEE ALSO: O’Ryan, Michael)
Christian Huey has performed in a slew of VCRP productions, including turns in King Kong and Dr. Geist's Cabinet of Curiosities. He's lived all over the world: Spain, California, atop K2, you name it. During the day, he rules a classroom at the Odyssey School with an iron hand. Nothing strikes more fear in a third grader's heart than these four little words... "Mister Huey has arrived."
Lisa Jasak is a singer seeking a band and an oil painter seeking food. You might know her as VCRP's Molly McCoy: Air Ace, or a prehistoric dinosaur in King Kong. She's performed with the Paradox Players in “Waiting for MacArthur,” “Belles,” and “The Day They Kidnapped the Pope,” and enjoyed spoofing with the Capital City Mystery Players. A member of the No Strings Attached Puppet Players and the band One of Everything, Lisa likes to spread herself as thinly as possible in order to avoid any semblance of free time. She has recently been swept off her feet by a heavy-metal rock-star electronics architect. When not trying to steal cats from her biker beaux, Lisa spends her limited free time doing Yoda impressions for hockey teammates and practicing throat singing while dumping her kayak.
Amy Wenglar relies on her acting skills every day with her job as a mortgage loan processor, but is moonlighting with the Violet Crown Radio Players. She spends her free time as an avid swing-dancer, writer, and trumpet player, hell-bent on doing Vegas. With a degree in Journalism from UT-Austin, her goal is to make it to Mars (or at least London) by 2030 and write for a major music magazine.
Abbey Windham has acted all over the world, Sonny Boy. Even in England- that's across the ocean, you know! Hey, we had to class this joint up somehow. You may have seen her in the VCRP productions King Kong and The Blue Menace Mysteries, among others. She recently finished writing an episode of Dr. Geist's Cabinet of Curiosities that's really freaking us out right now, so leave the light on when you go, okay?
Craig York is really tall. He also has one of those great, rumbling, radio voices that makes other voice actors jealous. So if they ever find him murdered with a microphone cord wrapped around his neck, you know where to start looking. We're just sayin', is all. He's a VCRP stalwart, surviving the apocalypse in War of the Worlds, capturing the world's largest ape in King Kong, and scaring the daylights out of everybody in the title role of Dr. Geist's Cabinet of Curiosities.
